2024 Excellence in Construction Awards

The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry’s leading competition, developed to honor innovative and high-quality Merit Shop construction projects. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from across Missouri and Kansas, are judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

• Receive ready to launch press release resources to help tell the story of your team’s successes.
• Cap a successful project with an evening celebrating with your project owner at a night to remember.

• Only ABC Heart of America contractor members in good standing are eligible to enter.
• Projects must be completed between September 1, 2023 and August 31, 2024.
• No project with a safety-related fatality of any of the contractors on the project may be eligible to be considered for an award.
• No company that experiences a safety-related fatality of a direct employee in the United States within the current program year* is eligible.
• The decision of the judges will be final.

• There is a $375 fee for each project submitted in a category.
• Payment must be received by check or credit card no later than Friday, July 26, 2024.

• Friday, July 26, 2024 – Application submission & $375 Fee deadline
• Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 – Date by which construction of the submitted project must be completed
• Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024 – Project Submission Deadline
• Mid-Sept. – All applicants will receive an email detailing the results
• Friday, Oct. 4, 2024 – Sponsorship deadline
• Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024 – Winners will be celebrated at our awards banquet from 5:30-9:30 PM.
